Recent Events at Superior Ambulance Service, Inc.

  • Superior purchases 2 new Type 3 ambulance for Critical Care Transport
  • Superior announces the purchase of land for the new corporate site. The property is located on the west side of Albuquerque near Unser and Ladera off of I-40. The site is 4.3 acres and will house all the operations for Superior, April, 2005.
  • Superior announces the occupancy of its new facility located at 7600 La Morada Place NW, August 2005.
  • Superior announces the acquisition of Med Net Ambulance, and renames the operation, Superior Ambulance of Torrance County, Inc., September, 2004.
  • Superior receives approval from the State EMS Bureau to establish a CCT, Paramedic/Nurse program. The first and only ambulance provider operating at this level, August 2005.
  • Superior upgrades its cardiac monitors to Zoll M Series, including the M Series CCT monitors, September 2005.
  • Superior places in service Zoll E Series monitors in Torrance County operation 2006.
  • Superior in 2007 places in service within Torrance County ambulance's, the Zoll AutoPulse; a revolutionary non-invasive cardiac support pump that moves more blood, more consistently than is possible with human hands. Superior sees the need to assist EMT's with this device since all emergency transportations consist of a minimum of 40 miles to the nearest hospital.
  • Superior announces the beginning phase of construction for a new Torrance County operations station, located North of I-40 in Moriarity, September 2007, completion of construction is scheduled for July 2009.
  • Superior is awarded a 4 year contract with Las Vegas and San Miguel County to provide 911 services to the community. San Miguel County is located in Northern New Mexico along the I-25 corridor, with the largest community being the city of Las Vegas. Services begin April 1, 2008.
  • Superior is awarded a multi-year contract with the City of Roswell to provide 911 services to the community. Roswell is located in Southeastern New Mexico. Services begin July 1, 2008.
  • Superior places in service Zoll E Series monitors in all operations in first quarter of 2009, replacing all Zoll M series monitors. In addition, Superior will be placing in service within all emergency ambulance's, the Zoll AutoPulse.
  • Superior will be placing in service in all its New Mexico operations Electronic Tablet ePCR's utilizing the Zoll RescueNet program by 3rd quarter 2009.
  • Superior begins services November 2009 in Santa Fe, NM providing inter-facility ambulance transportation services for local and Northern NM facilities, and signs a contractual agreement with St. Vincent Hospital.
  • Superior begins services April 1, 2011 in The Village of Pecos providing 911 services for the small community.
  • Superior receives approval from the State EMS Bureau to transport patients with an IABP, Intra-aortic Balloon Pump, as the only ambulance service in NM authorized to transport these patients, June 2011.
  • Superior replaces the Zoll RescueNet ePCR program with the TriTech Fusion ePCR, August 2011.
  • Superior upgrades our CAD to the new TriTech VisiCAD, August 2011.
  • Superior begins 911 services September 1, 2011 and is awarded a multi-year contract with the City of Tucumcari.
